Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd has announced the launch of its business hotel in Shimoga.
It operates the 108-room under the brand name Royal Orchid Central.
Mr Chender Baljee, Chairman and MD, said, “Shimoga is one of the fastest growing cities with immense business (and tourism) potential. Located on the banks of the Tungabhadra river, the agricultural hub of Karnataka is also home to the Jog falls.”
Tier II and III cities offer enormous growth potential for business and tourism.
Shimoga, 275 km from Bangalore, nestles in the picturesque Malnad region and has a growing business potential with its industries, educational institutes, agriculture and plantations, trade, pharmaceuticals and fertilisers.
Nine of its other 14 hotels are in Karnataka.
Mr Keshav Baljee, President and co-Promoter of ROHL, said the Central was the largest and fast growing of their three brands. “We look at establishing it further in potential Tier II and III cities after the success of our hotel in Hospet.”
