The Steel Authority of India Ltd on Tuesday inaugurated video conferencing facility at two of its mines to connect with the corporate headquarter in New Delhi.
According to a release, SAIL has set up video conferencing links at Bolani and Meghahatuburu iron ore mines in Orissa and Jharkhand respectively, not only to reduce expenditure on travel but also to enable speedy decision-making.
SAIL launched the video link from its corporate office on Tuesday, conducting the first triangular meeting with officials at the mines and at its Raw Materials Division in Kolkata.
