Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Ltd's net profit increased 89.5 per cent at Rs 7.81 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011 compared with Rs 4.12 crore in the year-ago period. The total income too had gone up to Rs 118.2 crore (Rs 119 crore). For the full-year ended March 31, 2011, the net profit of the company had increased to Rs 34.80 crore (Rs 4.35 crore).
This was driven by 47 per cent increased in total income at Rs 612 crore (Rs 416 crore). The earnings per share stood at Rs 26.04 (Rs 3.25). The company declared a final dividend of Rs 1.5 a share in addition to 10 per cent interim dividend already declared, according to a release.
