Tata Motors has received an order to supply 1,314 trucks, its largest single order ever, from fleet owner Siddhivinayak Logistics.
The order coincided with the launch of a scheme – ‘Chalak se Malak’ - by Siddhivinayak Logistics (SVLL), meant for the well-being of its drivers.
“We are honoured to receive this prestigious order and are committed to deliver these vehicles this fiscal year,” Tata Motors Head (Sales & Marketing, Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Vinod Sahay said.
The order also includes two recently launched products - Tata Prima 4923 LX and Tata LPT 3723, the first 5-axle rigid truck in the country.
The Tata Prima 4923 LX was launched to extend the Prima advantage to many more transporters who require a lower power-to-weight ratio.
Based in Surat, SVLL has a fleet size of more than 4,000 commercial vehicles. The company operates across diverse segments, like steel, cement, tractors, chemicals, machinery and is a pioneer in new segments like commercial vehicle chassis carriers.
