Tata Motors on Friday started the supply of 320 city buses ordered under the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System cluster scheme, the company said.
The Tata Marcopolo fully-built, front-engine CNG buses, feature ergonomically designed seats, apart from destination display boards and public address systems for the convenience of the passengers.
Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said: “Tata Motors will comprehensively address the burgeoning need of the residents with the least CO2 emissions.”
The BS IV compliant, Tata LPO 1613/55 CNG BSIV drive-train is driven by a 96 kw TATA 5.7 SGI Bharat Stage IV engine. For safety, CNG leak and fire detection systems have been installed in the engine compartment.
