Aiming to strengthen its hold in the youth market, Titan Company has launched helmets under the Fastrack brand.
“The combination of Fastrack’s edgy and bold nature coupled with Titan’s steadfastness, this new category promises to redefine the industry with its product offerings,” said Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Company.
“India has one of the highest numbers of two-wheelers. The category has a large potential in the market,” he added.
The organised helmet market is estimated at about Rs 400 crore, accounting for 45 per cent of the retail market.
Titan has partnered with Italian company AGV to manufacture helmets in India. The company controls design, safety and marketing of helmets.
The helmet range comes with 24 different variants for guys and girls in a range of colours and graphics. Each of the ISI approved helmets has been designed keeping in mind the youth.
Priced between Rs 1,495 and Rs 3,495, they will be sold at exclusive Fastrack stores across the country.
Initially, helmets will be sold across 150 stores and gradually by end of financial year they will be made available in over 200 stores. The new helmet range was revealed during a fashion show by fashion designer Prasad Bidapa.
