The 120th annual conference of The United Planters’ Association of Southern India (Upasi) at Coonoor (Tamil Nadu) will be held on September 2 and 3.
Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry D. Purandeswari will address the Upasi annual meet on September 3. J.S. Deepak Additional Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, will be the Guest of Honour.
According to G.J. Ancheril, President-Upasi, preceding the main conference, on September 2 a ‘Technical Session on Commodities’ will be held and in the afternoon the ‘Commodity Outlook Session’ chaired by J.S. Deepak will take place.
At the outlook session, presentations will be made by the Chairmen of the commodity boards. anil.u@thehindu.co.in
