JSW Steel Ltd has witnessed a 9 per cent growth in crude steel production in the first quarter of the current fiscal over the same quarter last year. Crude steel production during the period under review was 1.71 million tonnes (including 0.03 million tonnes of trial-run from expansion project). Production of rolled products (flat) saw an identical 9 per cent jump to 1.19 million tonnes while production of rolled products (long) was 0.35 million tonnes, an increase of 12 per cent.
