Air India has promoted 14 persons, including former Olympic hockey player Zafar Iqbal as Executive Directors to head various departments.
While Iqbal will now be Executive Director, Properties and Facilities, Aloke Singh has been appointed as Executive Director, Strategy and Planning, a newly created department.
Captain H.Y. Samant will be the new Executive Director (South India) based in Chennai while Shyam Sunder will be ED, Sales and Marketing.
A.J. D’ Souza, who also holds charge as Chief Operating Officer of Air India Express, will be the new ED (Finance).
S S Uberoi is to be the new ED, Ground Handling while Harpreet A de Singh will be the ED, Inflight Services.
