Seven bids were received in response to the global tender floated by Visakhapatnam Port Trust for extension of container terminal at an estimated cost of Rs 613.91 crore.
Sources said Visakha Container Terminal Pvt Ltd (VCTPL), a joint venture between DP World and United Liner Agencies (Pvt) Ltd, is one among the bidders. VCTPL operates the terminal in the outer harbour.
Sources said bids were received from Simplex Infrastructures Ltd, Gammon Infra Projects Ltd., Gangavaram Port Ltd, Adani Port SEZ, Welspun Pvt Ltd and Navayuga Engineering Co.
