To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Christmas vacation, the Railways will operate a special train between Ahmedabad and Mangalore Junction.
A press statement by the Palakkad division of Southern Railways said here that the train no. 09420 Ahmedabad-Mangalore Junction AC super-fast special will run on all Wednesdays from December 4 to January 15. This train will leave Ahmedabad at 4.35 p.m. on Wednesdays and will reach Mangalore Junction at 7.05 p.m. on Thursdays.
In the return direction, the train no. 09419 Mangalore Junction-Ahmedabad AC super-fast special will operate on all Thursdays from December 5 to January 16. This train will leave Mangalore Junction at 10.30 p.m. on Thursdays and will reach Ahmedabad at 11.15 p.m. on Fridays.
This train will have one first-class AC, three two-tier AC, nine three-tier AC, and two power car-cum-brake vans.
These specials will stop at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Pernem, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Murudeswhwar, Bhatkal, Kundapura, Udupi and Suratkal, the statement added.
