The Ministry of Labour and Employment has termed as ‘ill-informed and misleading’, the comments of various organisations on the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016, passed recently by Parliament.
The Ministry said the amendment seeks to protect the Right to Education of children below 14 years by correcting the defective provisions of the original Act.
