Logistics major DHL Supply Chain has recently launched its full truck load (FTL) services in Kolkata.
According to a DHL release, increasing supply chain complexity and changing customer requirements prompted the company to start FTL services here.
The company has so far launched this service in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, Delhi, Mandideep, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Coimbatore.
“Simplifying solutions and expanding into this market allow us to serve companies in Kolkata to transport goods across the country through our extensive network,” Mr Vikas Anand, Chief Operating Officer, DHL, said.
The company has plans to open 19 new branches in “strategic business locations’’ to help its customers reach important markets, especially once the Goods & Services Tax (GST) is rolled out.
