Union Minister of State for Power and Coal (Independent Charge), Piyush Goyal, will meet West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, today at the state secretariat (Nabanna).
This would be the first time a Union Minister is meeting the Chief Minister post Narendra Modi coming to power.
Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani is also expected to meet Mamata Banerjee sometime in July.
Prior to meeting Banerjee, the Union Minister attended a meeting at Coal India.
Recently, West Bengal Finance, Commerce and Industries and IT Minister, Amit Mitra, had met the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, in Delhi.
