Tech Mahindra has launched a new technology platform powered by AT&T for auto insurers. In a press statement, the Mahindra group company said the platform could help insurers reduce claim costs by up to 20 per cent, and lessen insured driver premiums by up to 40 per cent. Based on the platform, it has launched two new products — UBI (Usage-Based Insurance) Lite and UBI Plus, which allow insurers to adjust premiums according to actual usage patterns of individual drivers instead of industry averages, the statement said. The solution is hosted on the AT&T cloud and served through AT&T’s global Machine-to-Machine capabilities, it added.
