Amazon Corporate Holdings has pumped in around ₹4,400 crore into three of its entities in India.
These include, an investment of ₹3,400 crore into the Amazon Seller Services, the e-commerce platform of the company; ₹900 crore into Amazon Pay, the online payment processing services, and another ₹172.5 crore into Amazon Retail, according to documents accessed by data intelligence platform, paper.vc .
In another filing, Amazon Seller Services’ losses for 2018-19 was ₹5,685 crore, which was about 9.5 per cent lesser than the previous year. Its revenues for the same period grew 55 per cent to ₹7,778 crore over the previous year.
But the total loss incurred by its various entities was over ₹7,000 crore.
