Nokia to bring in affordable dual SIM Lumia next month

Finnish handset maker Nokia on Thursday unveiled its first dual-SIM Lumia phone expected to be launched next month in India.

While the single SIM variant of the Lumia 630 would be priced at $159, the dual-sim variant would cost $169 before taxes and subsidies, the company said in a statement.

Other models The company also unveiled the Lumia 635 and 930, which are expected to roll out globally in June starting with Europe, Asia, West Asia and India.

While the 635 would be priced $189 (₹11,300), the Lumia 930 would be priced $599 (₹36,000) before taxes and subsidies, the company said in a statement.

“The Nokia Lumia 635 and Lumia 630 offer an uncompromised Windows Phone 8.1 experience and bring Microsoft and Lumia innovations to more affordable prices,” the company said. The Lumia 630 comes in two variants and introduces more choice as the first Lumia with dual-SIM, targeted for growth markets like China and India, it said adding that Lumia 635 is expected to be available starting this summer.

The entire Lumia range with Windows Phone 8 will get an over-the-air update called Lumia Cyan, which will combine Windows Phone 8.1 and unique Lumia features into one update package, Nokia said. Both the 630 and 635 have a Snapdragon quad core processor 4.5-ince ClearBlack screen and have the same experiences as high-end Lumia smartphones including SensorCore with Microsoft Office, Nokia Camera and free Nokia MixRadio streaming.

Similarly, Lumia 930 has a 2.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor delivering more from content like apps, and integrated Microsoft services like OneDrive and Microsoft Office.
