Oracle today announced Oracle Analytics Cloud, a comprehensive portfolio of analytics offerings built for the cloud; deployed in the cloud; and enabling data analysis for cloud, on-premises, traditional, and big data sources.
In its ongoing Oracle OpenWorld conference, the company has made this announcement in the backdrop of increased adoption of software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, accumulation of data and growing preference for cloud-based IT deployments.
Until now, however, analytics technology in the cloud and analytics for cloud-based data have been delivered piecemeal, with significant gaps but with its solutions, Oracle is planning to address this gap, according to a company statement.
