Syntel, an information technology services and knowledge process outsourcing firm, has elevated Prashant Ranade as Executive Vice-Chairman.
Ranade, who is currently the Chief Executive Officer and President, will become Executive Vice-Chairman of Syntel Inc.’s board of directors effective April 21, 2014.
The company has appointed Nitin Rakesh as Chief Executive Officer and President, succeeding Ranade.
Nitin Rakesh will move into the CEO and President role from his current position as President-Americas, Business Development and Near Shoring Centre.
Before rejoining Syntel, Rakesh served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company, a financial services company, from September 2008 to September 2012.
