Soyabean prices strengthened by Rs 40.50 to Rs 2,340 per quintal in futures trading today following increased buying by traders in line with firm overseas cues.
Higher demand from soyameal also helped to enthused trading sentiments.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soyabean for delivery in November climbed by Rs 40.50 or 1.76 per cent to Rs 2,340 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,010 lots.
Similarly, prices for delivery in August went up by Rs 35.50 or 1.53 per cent to Rs 2,355.50 per quintal, revealing an open interest of 92,310 lots.
Also, delivery in July improved by Rs 33.50 or 1.46 per cent to Rs 2,333.50 per quintal in 88,830 lots.
