Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 29,848 per 10 grams on Friday against the previous close of Rs 29,909.
February contract made a high of Rs 29,950 and low of Rs 29,835. It was trading lower by 0.08 per cent at Rs 29,886 at 11.08 a.m.
At Comex, the spot price was trading up by $3 at $1,662 a troy ounce.
