The stock of Jaypee Infratech closed at Rs 57, a gain of two per cent over the previous day’s close. According to market sources, the 165-km Yamuna expressway, connecting Noida and Agra, is likely to be thrown open for public use on July 17. Ahead of the opening of toll plaza, amenities such as food courts, fuelling stations, would be in place.
The toll for the expressway is likely to be Rs 346 a passenger car. The levy for a kilometre works out to Rs 2.10.
Marketmen expect this as positive for Jaypree Infratech, as toll collection from the expressway will help the company in reducing its debt.
