Classic Diamonds (India) Ltd has informed that operations will remain suspended from November 21 to December 8 at its factory in SEEPZ, Mumbai, as the industrial court has upheld a lock-out because of labour problems.
Larsen and Toubro (L&T) said L&T Construction secured new orders valued at Rs 2,700 crore during October-November. The company received new orders worth Rs 1,109 crore for construction of residential complex and for building warehousing facility. In the infrastructure segment, orders worth Rs 353 crore for building a viaduct and two station buildings for Kolkata Metro, among others, have been received. L&T Construction won orders worth Rs 763 crore for building transmission lines, electrical works, including substations, etc. There was an order of Rs 200 crore from Tatweer Petroleum, Bahrain. It also got an order from Delhi Jal Board for Rs 272 crore for works relating to a water-treatment plant in Delhi.
Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd denied reports that Mr.Kishore Biyani has struck a deal to sell his stake in Future Capital to Deccan Chronicle for Rs 700 crore.
South Africa's Department of Energy has approved the Cookhouse wind energy facility project in Eastern Cape province to be executed by Suzlon Group .The company willuse its 2.1-MW turbines for the project with a capacity of 135 MW.
