Tata Power was on a roll in late session on the bourses on Friday. At 3.10 pm it led the pack on the NSE with gains of 6.78 per cent at Rs 88.95. The share had finished Thursday’s session at Rs 83.30.
DLF built up gains of 5.42 per cent at Rs 156.65. The share finished the overnight session at Rs 148.60.
Cairn India, which announced yesterday that its Q3 numbers took a hit on declining fuel prices, was up 4.23 per cent at Rs 248.60. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 238.50.
Tata Motors sped up 4.10 per cent at Rs 589.75 as against Rs 566.50 at close on Thursday.
Bharti Airtel maintained its momentum to trade at Rs 385. This was a gain of 4.05 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 370.
The market extended its rally, propelled by the ECB's bond-buying programme. The Sensex was trading above the 29,250-level with gains of over 250 points. The Nifty also held firm above the 8,800 level with gains of over 60 points.
