NTPC held on to most of its morning gains to remain the top gainer on the bourses on Wednesday.
At 2.50 p.m. it held gains of 1.95 per cent to quote at Rs 138.65 on the BSE as against its earlier close of Rs 136.
On the NSE it held gains of 2.17 per cent to quote at Rs 139 as against Tuesday’s close of Rs 136.05.
Draft tariff regulations issued by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission yesterday, if approved, could have a negative impact on the revenues of power producers.
