Shares of PNB Housing Finance may remain in focus, as the Competition Commission of India on Wednesday approved the acquisition of 6.5 per cent stake of the HFC by General Atlantic Singapore HF Pte Ltd. Punjab National Bank, promoter of PNB HFC, had entered into a deal to sell a 13 per cent stake to private equity firms General Atlantic and Varde Partners (6.5 per cent each) at ₹850 per share for ₹1,851 crore. Shareholders will closely monitor the development.
