Auto and pharma stocks were in the limelight at the week open on Monday. At 10.24 am Sun Pharma led the pack on the BSE, trading at Rs 1,116 as against Rs 1,078.55 at close last Wednesday. This was a gain of 3.47 per cent.
The markets opened today after a four-day break for festivals.
M&M moved up 2.39 per cent to trade at Rs 1,230.35, as against its previous close at Rs 1,201.65.
Tata Motors drove up 2.05 per cent at Rs 570 as against Rs 558.57 at close last Wednesday.
Dr Reddy’s Labs perked up 1.90 per cent to trade at Rs 3,593.60 as against Rs 3,526.60.
Cipla spurted 1.61 per cent at Rs 720.90. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 709.45.
