Karur Vysya Bank has launched a prepaid reloadable multicurrency travel card.
The card, bank sources say offers the benefit of loading 3 currencies such as US$, Euro and Singapore Dollar (SGD) in one card, giving the user a safe, convenient and hassle-free route to expend while on a foreign tour.
“The exchange rate is guaranteed as it is a prepaid card. This would relieve the card holder of anxieties regarding exchange rate fluctuations during the travel. Further, the user is provided access to KVB Net Banking to enable him/her check the balance in the card,” K Venkataraman, Chief Executive and Managing Director of the bank said.
The card empowers the user to make purchases at VISA enabled merchant establishments or draw money from VISA enabled ATMs while travelling abroad and shop online as well.
It is being made available across the counter at select branches of KVB and the card validity is for 5 years from the date of issue, the MD said.
