State Bank of India is not worried about its loan exposure to Air India despite some financial turbulence in the state-owned carrier.
“As of now, Air India exposure is not something we are losing sleep over,” Mr Pratip Chaudhuri, SBI Chairman, said here.
Currently, SBI has an overall exposure of Rs 1,200 crore to Air India.
He pointed out that the Central Government was fully committed to the continued operation of the airline.
“Till date, Air India has been servicing its loans with some delays here and there. They remain standard assets for us”, Mr Chaudhuri said.
