Vijaya Bank has posted a two-fold jump in net profit at Rs 130.92 crore for the March quarter of the 2010-11 fiscal.
The net profit stood at Rs 54.23 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
During the quarter under review, the bank clocked a total income of Rs 1,761.66 crore against Rs 1,511.67 crore in 2009-10.
For the year ended March 31, 2011, the net profit stood at Rs 523.82 crore, a 3.15 per cent rise from Rs 507.28 crore in the year-ago period.
