Farmers in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, are reporting severe difficulties as the demand for tomatoes in the interstate market has sharply declined, leading to a drastic fall in prices. Some farmers say that wholesale price for tomatoes have dropped to as low as just Rs 1 to Rs 2 per kg.
