Tata Steel has contributed ₹1.1 crore to the Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata for meeting the cost of treatment of underprivileged cancer patients.
The company raised the fund through auctioning of the first set of four cold rolled coils, produced at the plant of its joint venture with Nippon Steel Sumitomo Metal Corporation – Continuous Annealing & Processing Co Pvt Ltd. The coils were auctioned among its distributors, who also actively participated to raise the fund.
