The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been adjourned yet again this morning. Speaker Nadendla Manohar could not begin the proceedings after the House met after two hours of adjournment, with Telangana legislators and ministers from the region raising slogans.

They are demanding the Speaker to reject the notice given by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Seeing no let-up in the situation, the Speaker adjourned the House for one hour.

Opposition leader and Telugu Desam Party President is slated to express his views on the bifurcation Bill. His party has been toeing the line of "equal justice" to both the regions.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been adjourned for half-an-hour minutes after it assembled on Monday morning.

Telangana legislators belonging to all political parties raised slogans, asking Speaker Nadendla Manohar to reject the notice given by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.

After expressing his views on the draft AP Re-Organisation Bill, the Chief Minister had given a notice under Rule 77, seeking to move a resolution to reject the Bill.

With the House continuing to witness acrimonious scenes, the Speaker adjourned the House. This move had sharply divided the Cabinet and legislators across the two regions.

"The President is the Supreme leader of the country and the House cannot reject a Bill sent by him," Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader Harish Rao said.

Addressing reporters at the Media Point on the Assembly premises, he said the Chief Minister and Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu were hand in glove in opposing the bifurcation Bill.

Ministers from the Telangana region had met the Speaker last night and appealed to him to reject the notice given by the Chief Minister as it was not ratified by the Cabinet.
