The Union Shipping Ministry has appointed D. Mahadevaiah as Traffic Manager of New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT). He had assumed charged on May 6.
A press statement by NMPT said here that Mahadevaiah has served in various capacities in the traffic department of NMPT for more than 30 years.
He was closely associated with the introduction of container traffic and biometric attendance system for labour booking. He holds a postgraduate in political science from Mysore University, the statement said.
