IIT Kharagpur said on Friday that in its first phase of placements season it has witnessed over 1,000 offers within 10 days of formal opening. The first phase began this week.
Atal Ashutosh Agarwal, Vice-President, IIT Kharagpur, said that higher demand this year than last year saw the students hit the milestone early in the phase. Last year, the institution took 12 days to reach the mark.
There are 11 more days to go for the 1st phase of campus placements, IIT Kharagpur said in a release. Larsen & Toubro, Deloitte, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Honeywell UOP, Evalueserve and Coal India are among the companies scheduled to visit the campus,
