Over 1,000 exporters are learnt to have benefited from the IGST Refund Help Desk at FIEO offices in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kochi, apart from the AEPC office in Tirupur during the refund fortnight between July 23 and August 1.
Thanking the Chairman, CBIC and officials of the department for their proactive role in settling IGST refund issues of exporters, A Sakthivel, Regional Chairman, FIEO-SR, said an amount of ₹450 crore was refunded during the fortnight
Sakthivel appealed for immediate resolution of IGST claims pending due to issues like non-integration of data in GST portal and errors etc.
