The Visakhapatnam- Kakinada Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region Special Development Authority (VK- PCPIR SDA) has released the final draft master plan and zonal development plans with revised land use proposals. It has submitted the plans to the government.
The first draft master plan and zonal development plans were announced in August 2013, calling for objections and suggestions from people residing or owning properties within the inspected area, as well as the local bodies operating there. They were given 120 days to file proposals and objections. A total of 936 objections were filed by individuals and local bodies.
