The West Bengal Government is planning to set up a 250-MW solar project at Purulia at a cost of ₹1,400 crore.
The largest solar project in the country will be linked to the 900-MW Purulia pump storage project, according to the West Bengal Power Minister, Manish Gupta.
Speaking to presspersons at the sidelines of a CII seminar here today, Gupta said tha the project will achieve financial closure this fiscal.
Approximately 40 per cent fund will be sourced from the clean energy fund of the Union Government and the rest from multilateral sources.
