The results of the Parliamentary elections are “basically a mandate for action.” The new government will have to act in a ‘clear and decisive’ manner to ensure revival of growth which will trigger job creation and development. The government should focus on making India business, particularly the manufacturing sector globally competitive through infrastructure development. Projects need to be cleared fast and decisions implemented. The BJP government should work with the State governments to build a consensus on a range of issues such as the Goods and Services Tax.
