Two years after the business conclave in Singapore, Nattukottai Nagarathars (also referred to as Chettiars) are gearing up to conduct IBCN 2015 (International Business Conclave of Nagarathars) on July 25 and 26 in Coimbatore.
Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, is to inaugurate the conference in the presence of K Shanmugam, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Law, Government of Singapore.
Though technically IBCN 2015 is the second edition of the conclave, it is being held for the first time in India, said PL K Palaniappan, Chairman, IBCN 2015.
Of the around 600 people belonging to the Nagarathar community expected attend, close to a third are from other parts of the world, Palaniappan said.
Panel discussions and business sessions are planned on issues like family business, resolving conflicts, setting up processes to scale new heights.
The organisers, Nagarathars Entrepreneurs Union,
also plan to give away the IBCN 2015 Entrepreneur Award.
