Nittsu Logistics (India), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nippon Express (India), broke the ground for the construction of a warehouse in Sri City recently.
Yasunori Takahashi, Managing Director, Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania), laid the foundation stone in presence of Ravindra Sannareddy, founder-Managing Director, Sri City.
Takahashi said the warehouse to be built on a 22-acre plot, equipped with all amenities, will be ready by March 2017.
Sannareddy said, “The advantage of setting up business in Sri City will enhance the presence of warehouse and logistic service providers. The unit of Nippon Express will facilitate industrial units in the region and neighbouring ports and create job opportunities for the rural youth.”
Nippon Express (India), a subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Nippon Express, established Nittsu Logistics (India) in 2011. Nittsu specialises in ‘just-in-time’ logistics.
