The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, is slated to meet the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, today and brief them about the latest developments in the State, including phone tapping by Telangana.

The meeting assumes importance in the backdrop of the recent cash-for-vote case which resulted in the arrest of Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA A Revanth Reddy and the release of recordings where Naidu is sought to be seen as a conspirator.

The AP delegation headed by Chandrababu Naidu will also request the Centre to empower the State Governor to manage the law and order in the common capital of Hyderabad as per the Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act.

The State Cabinet, which held a special meeting on Tuesday, had resolved to represent to the Centre on the issue of handing over the management of law and order in Hyderabad to the Governor while requesting stringent action against Telangana for phone tapping.

Governor ESL Narasimhan is also in Delhi and is expected to brief the Centre over the recent developments in AP and Telangana and update on one year of governance in both the States post bifurcation.
