The remand of A Revanth Reddy, Telangana TDP MLA, has been extended by two more weeks to July 13 in the cash-for-vote scam.
On the contention of the Anti-Corruption Bureau that the investigation was still underway, the Court extended his remand along with that of two other accused Harry Sebastian and Rudra Udaysimha.
Earlier in the day, Reddy and two other accused were brought to the court as their remand deadline expired today. However, when they were presented in the court, the Court extended their remand.
Meanwhile, the bail petition moved by Reddy’s lawyers in the High Court, for which arguments concluded on Friday, will come up for orders on Tuesday.
Revanth Reddy and two others were arrested last month in the cash-for vote case, where they allegedly tried to bribe independent nominated members Elvis Stephenson to seek his support for a TDP-backed candidate in State Legislative Council.
