UST Trivandrum Marathon 2025, scheduled for October 12, held a training run in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday last (June 22).
Second edition of the UST Trivandrum Marathon, touted to be the largest marathon to be held in Kerala’s capital and hosted by leading digital transformation company UST, will take place on October 12.
UST Trivandrum Marathon 2025 , will be organised in collaboration with NEB Sports, a spokesperson for UST said . It will be flagged off from UST Campus, and will feature different events such as the full marathon, half marathon, 10K Run, and 5K fun run, similar to what was organised in the 2024 Marathon.
More than 10,000 participants are expected to participate in different categories.
Three training runs will be organised before the the main event. The first training was held at the UST Campus Trivandrum on Sunday last, and subsequent runs will be scheduled to help participants prepare for the race day. Runners who participate in the training runs will be given T-shirts, route support, and breakfast.
Alexander Varghese, Chief Operating Officer, UST, said the marathon is aligned to the company’s mission of Transforming Lives. “The marathon is designed to uphold our community’s wellness and health. This year, we aspire to make it larger than the previous edition, with advanced training runs, support initiatives and expert advice,” he added.
Nagaraj Adiga, CMD, NEB Sports, said as in the first edition, the company is excited to be joining hands with UST for the mega event this year. “With the date now set for the training runs and the main event, it is hoped that maximum number of runners from across the country will take part in the event.
