Archaeological Survey of India has closed the biggest of the ten minarets of Agra Fort for tourists as it was found to be in poor condition, an official spokesperson said.
Tourists could stand near the minaret to view the Taj Mahal, situated one km away from the fort.
Repair work of the minaret and also some other monuments inside the fort, including the Jahangiri Mahal and the Akbari Mahal would start soon, he said.
