The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Friday appointed Vikram Kirloskar, CMD of Kirloskar Systems Ltd, as president for 2019-20. He will take over the position from Rakesh Bharti Mittal, vice-chairman, Bharti Enterprises.
Kirloskar, who is also vice-chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motors, has chaired several national committees and councils of the CII .
Meanwhile, Kotak Mahindra Bank founder, MD and CEO, Uday Kotak, will be president-designate of the CII for 2019-20.
The industry body added that TV Narendran, who is the CEO and MD of Tata Steel Ltd, will take over as vice-president.
