Commerce & Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu has said that his team had done what was in the interest of the country at the World Trade Organisation's Ministerial Conference in Buenos Aires.
“We are on a very sound wicket. We have the peace clause. To have a bad agreement for the sake of having an agreement is worse than having no agreement. Our interests have been safeguarded,” Prabhu told BusinessLine .
The Minister said that his team of officials worked together in great coordination to ensure that the country’s interests were protected.
He added that India’s ability in holding together its coalition partners also greatly helped the country's cause.
