Thunderstorm and possible showers have been forecast for New Delhi as the Feroz Shah Kotla prepares to host today's IPL cricket match.
The weather systems responsible for the uncertain weather are a western disturbance parked on the northwest border and a cyclonic circulation over southeast Rajasthan in the immediate neighbourhood (to southwest of New Delhi).
These two have combined to set up opposing wind streams around Delhi, creating the ground for unruly weather. Humidity is forecast to reach up to 70 per cent.
But mercury level is to keep within unseasonally tolerable limits for this time of the year, thanks to cloudiness.
