The Durgapur Steel Plant posted a 15 per cent growth in profit before tax to Rs 503 crore in the 2011-2012 fiscal, compared to Rs 437 crore in the last fiscal.
During the fiscal, the plant reported a 12 per cent increase in gross revenue to Rs 6,983 crore.
Despite variation in foreign exchange rates during the year, DSP had been able to maintain growth both in turnover and profit, Mr P. K. Singh, CEO of DSP, said, according to a company release.
