Avantha Group company The Global Green Company today said it has signed an agreement with US-based Driptech for distribution of its drip irrigation systems in the country.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two companies, Global Green will purchase or facilitate the purchase of the drip irrigation systems for its farmers and Driptech will supply Driptech InstaKit systems for 2,500 acres of drip irrigation over the next year, the company said in a release.

Driptech will also train Global Green staff on design and installation of Driptech systems and the two companies will work together to market and train farmers on this technology and negotiate a long-term agreement following the conclusion of the MoU.

The Global Green has also entered into an agreement with Yes Bank to provide finance to farmers to purchase Driptech InstaKit systems along with other agri inputs.

The Global Green Company is the foods division of the Avantha Group, a $4 billion company.
